Bandworks
BandWorks was founded in 1993 by musicians Jeremy Steinkoler and Steve Gibson.
We are a local Bay Area music program that builds musical communities.
We have classes in the East Bay and Marin.
Our Marin studio is located on Mitchell Boulevard near Smith Ranch Road.
“The idea for BandWorks was born out of a desire to help musicians find other people to play with. But, as the program evolved, we realized that we weren’t just connecting musicians with one another to share in the experience of playing in a band- we were also teaching values.”

Band of Brothers
Band of Brothers is a musical collaboration between 7 top flight musicians: 3 brothers and 4 life long friends. This latest musical iteration was born of a desire to revisit their musical roots and celebrate a lifetime of musical experience with their friends.
Beckylin & Her Druthers
Beckylin & Her Druthers are a wig country band out of the Bay Area recreating the glamor, fun, and sincerity of early 70’s TV country music. When Beckylin's mother couldn't find a sitter and started taking her to the Rawhide (a gay country bar in SF), she never could have known that it would spawn a lifelong love of country music, but that it did.
Beckylin and Her Druther's ever-expanding catalog of original music focuses on what Beckylin jokingly calls her "origin story," and on her mother, the original Cocaine Cowgirl. Their full repertoire of classic country spans the late 40’s through early 80’s.

Book of Birds
Marin County's indie folk rock gem, Book of Birds has been charming ears and hearts in Marin’s live music scene for years - from the best dive bars to the Sweetwater stage. Their signature blend of three-part harmonies, bedrock rhythms, and guitar finesse, make for a celebration of alt-country and indie rock heroes, with epic original storytelling and treasured covers.
Brightsilver
Known for energetic live shows and genre-twisting original songs, Brightsilver tip their hats to the pioneers of psychedelic rock while combining heavy doses of cosmic twang and echoes of Laurel Canyon. Members of the group are local Marin natives Pascal Ganeau, Charles Henry Paul, Alex Kamages, and Marc Perry.
Brilliant Bluegrass
Brilliant Bluegrass plays traditional bluegrass, offering fast-paced instrumentals and tight mountain harmonies. With two women and three men singing, the vocal combinations are fresh and colorful. And who doesn't enjoy fiddle and banjo music, with guitar, mandolin, and upright bass supporting?
Canyon
CANYON is a San Francisco Bay Area group whose woodshed birthed sound follows in the tradition of American folk and rock pioneers. The band members are all veterans of NorCal and SoCal music scenes, and in their prime have independently recorded and toured with such notable and eclectic acts as (Urge Overkill, Wood & Smoke and Bourbon Jones). Now in the middle stretch, the current lineup stands a musical brotherhood focusing on their intimate and rootsy song craft.
The Chalants
Original folky, upbeat tunes with swimming melodies played by three nice guys.
Christa Pfeiffer
Christa is a classically trained soprano who sings opera, art song and musical theater
