Bands/Artists: PLEASE READ
THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF THIS! Please help us keep this going every year by carefully going over this information and pass it on to other members or your band and crew.
PRINT YOUR QR CODE for Tips!
-
Bring a 8 1/2" x 11" printed QR code for your Venmo account. Put it in the plastic sleeve on the sign in front of your porch. There will be a clear sign for the crowd to see where to tip you.
-
Don’t have a QR code? Bring your own tip jar, and don't be shy about passing the hat!
UNLOADING : STREETS ARE CLOSED 11:45-5pm. No car movement - bands included!
-
Aim to get here a little before 11am, if possible.
-
Streets close to the public at 11am. Simply mention to the security guard and/or volunteer at the barricade nearest your porch (refer to the map below) that you are a performer and they will let you through until 11:45am. After that, access is closed to all vehicles until 5pm.
-
Unload at the porch and then park your vehicle outside of the closed-street zone. This may take a bit; please plan accordingly, especially if you have a 12pm slot!
-
If you are arriving after 12pm: You will need to unload at the nearest barricade to your porch. Volunteers (in green shirts) can help cart gear to the porch. You will not be able to drive to the porch. If this is a concern, please call/text Nyles (415) 305-7243.
-
If you need to leave before the event ends at 5pm, you must carry your gear to the nearest barricade and load there. Bring a hand truck or cart. Again, volunteers can help you.
-
Parking will get more difficult as the event goes on. If you are having trouble, you can always park at the free City of San Rafael garage at 3rd/C, with a free shuttle to the event, or the lot at 711 D st.
YOUR TIME SLOT AND PORCH
-
Please be mindful of your time slot. Do not start early and do not go over your end time. This is a carefully planned event and you need to stick to your time slot for it to work, even if the crowd is begging for more.
-
Respect the porch, yard, and its people, and please clean up after yourself and your band.
-
Be cool to the green-shirted volunteers!
-
Be mindful of your volume and if you are told to turn down, do not take it personally.
-
There will be a power strip and extension cord at the porch for you to plug into. Please leave it so that volunteers can pick it up after the event.
