WALKING AROUND THE GERSTLE PARK NEIGHBORHOOD WAS MAGICAL 

 

As a new resident to San Rafael and the Gerstle Park District I was thrilled to find out about PorchFest 2019. What a terrific event being introduced to the community and culture of San Rafael.

I’d moved in July from the Chicago suburban City of Naperville. I was convinced they knew how to throw an event, but I have to say the people over at PorchFest San Rafael brought such a feel of friendship and community to my new home.

​

 

As a professional photographer I was absolutely licking my lips with so much on display. 

​

Walking around the Gerstle Park neighborhood was magical, I was introduced to such fabulous music and met so many people, who offered their hospitably and friendship to a total newcomer to their community.

​

I can’t thank enough the residents, artist, vendors, volunteers and the organizers for putting on a truly terrific event.
